Collaborations and partnerships

We believe in doing good for both people and the planet.

United Nations Global Compact

Embracer Group has been a signatory member of the UN Global Compact since December 2021. Supporting the UN Global Compact goes hand-in-hand with our core values and is a great way to create strong networks with other companies to gain and share insight. It is a strategic tool for our sustainability efforts and a way of mitigating risks while pursuing business opportunities.

Safe In Our World

In May 2020, we partnered with Safe in Our World, an initiative that raises mental health awareness. Our group is growing, and with size comes responsibility. Our employees are our greatest asset and by committing to Safe in Our World, we can offer our subsidiaries and their employees training and other support to manage and prevent mental health issues. It is our commitment to raise awareness of mental health in our group. This allows us to level up together.

Women in games

In February 2022, Embracer Group joined Women in Games as Corporate Ambassador. At Embracer Group, we engage thousands of people in our companies worldwide and many more through our games. For us, it does not matter who you are, where you come from, what you look like, or what games you love.

We advocate diversity because we know that diversity will ensure a greater variety of perspectives and competencies. This creates a better working environment for everyone and contributes to securing our business’ future. Gender equality and fair working conditions are of the highest priority for us.

We welcome initiatives that contribute to an improvement and change in the industry. We are delighted to collaborate with Women in Games and their efforts to create an equal playing field where everyone is welcome. Their valuable knowledge and available tools reinforce what we are already doing and will be a part of our continued commitment to supporting women in the industry.

Able Gamers

Founded in 2019, PlayCreateGreen is the result of a joint commitment signed by Embracer Group and industry peers to UNEP´s initiative Playing for the Planet. PlayCreateGreen invites all gaming companies to become architects of a gaming industry-driven movement claiming ownership of and improvement in our carbon footprint. PlayCreateGreen has developed a green handbook by gaming companies for gaming companies with practical guides, examples, and inspiration for reducing carbon footprints and celebrating climate action. Embracer is part of the steering group and contribute actively together with industry peers to the future of Play Create Green.

We are proud to support Solvatten, a Swedish solution to provide people living in developing countries with safe and hot water in a portable, environmentally friendly way. Solvatten is a combined portable water treatment and water heating system that has been designed for off-grid household use in the developing world.

Solvatten has an average lifespan of 7-10 years, essential during the first years of life when children are most susceptible to waterborne diseases.

We chose Solvatten to compensate for our CO2 emissions for Fiscal Year 20/21. Additional support was added from Q1 of Fiscal Year 21/22: every time a new employee joins Embracer Group, we pledge that Solvatten ensures that one more person accesses safe and hot water through their innovative solution.

Embracer Group is a supporting partner of Kodcentrum. The work they do is in line with Embracer’s desire to create something substantial and long-lasting while encouraging children and youth to contribute to tomorrow’s future.
