THQ Nordic, based in Vienna, Austria, with subsidiaries in Europe, South East Asia, Japan and the US, is a global video game publisher and developer.

THQ Nordic is meant to represent a core approach of doing much more than “owning” a highly competitive portfolio of IPs. It revolves around cherishing them, and aligning them with the very best development resources to expand upon them with the level of experience that communities and established fan bases expect and deserve.

THQ Nordic formed Embracer’s 1st operative group and laid the foundation for Embracer Group. The parent company, Embracer Group was formerly known as THQ Nordic AB. THQ Nordic GmbH shared the same name and trademark as the parent company. To avoid confusion and to clarify group structure, THQ Nordic AB became Embracer Group AB in September 2019 and the THQ Nordic GmbH brand and company continued to operate as a global video game publisher and developer.
